Akanksha is a young professional with a keen interest in the convergence of policy, development, and governance. Graduating from Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, with a BA.L.L.B., she furthered her education with a master’s in diplomacy, Law, and Business from Jindal School of International Affairs. This academic journey has equipped her with a strong legal foundation and nurtured a profound interest in social sciences. Drawing on this academic background, Akansha has actively engaged in policy research, strategy formulation, and stakeholder management, gaining practical experience in navigating the intricate intersection of these fields. In her downtime, she likes to delve into music, yoga, and books.
With more than 37 years of public service, C.K. Mishra has served as an administrator, policy-maker and public health strategist holding a wide range of assignments in the fields of health, education, industry and power. As Former Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, he has led Indian negotiations at important Forums such as United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change; Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer and various other multilateral events. Prior to this, he was Secretary of Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and also held the additional charge of the Ministry of AYUSH for some time. Earlier as Additional Secretary & Mission Director, National Health Mission, he led one of the largest public health programs globally. He headed the Empowered Group on Availability of Hospitals, Isolation & Quarantine Facilities, Disease Surveillance & Testing and critical training formed under the Disaster Management Act, 2005 for COVID-19 management in 2020. Mr Mishra is recognized for his significant contributions to improving the Indian public health landscape, key amongst which is Mission Indradhanush, the largest and globally renowned child immunization programme, that he spearheaded. He also worked to deliver health care at the provincial level and played a key role in eradicating polio in the toughest region of Bihar. His views on maternal and child heath are well accepted globally as he brings a practical implementation perspective to his views.
Eman Rahman is a senior consultant at P4i, executing advocacy strategies for health systems strengthening. In her previous role at Global Health Strategies, she supported the Indian Health Ministry’s Technical Support Unit on Advocacy, Communications, and Social Mobilization for TB (NTSU-ACSM). Eman is especially passionate about facilitating private sector participation in public health goals. She has published with the Indian Health Ministry and the WHO to document solutions involving private practitioners, as well as grassroots leaders, in India’s TB elimination movement. She holds a Masters in Health and International Development from the London School of Economics and completed her undergraduate degree in Literature from the Lady Shri Ram College for Women. In her free time, you’re most likely to find Eman meditating, or engrossed in her newly found fitness activity for the month.
Dr. Bhushan is an ex-Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer (1983 batch, Rajasthan cadre). He holds a Ph.D. in Health Economics and a Master of Health Sciences from the Johns Hopkins University, USA. He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology Banaras Hindu University (IIT BHU) and IIT Delhi, where he completed his B. Tech and Post Graduate Diploma, respectively. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Dr. Bhushan has a career spanning almost 40 years across a multitude of sectors. He served for nine years in the IAS prior to leaving government service. Thereafter, he worked as Senior Economist with the World Bank Group prior to moving to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in 1997.
He served as Director General, East Asia Department of ADB. He has held multiple positions within ADB including Director General, Strategy and Policy Department and has led ADB’s engagement with several Asian economies including the People’s Republic of China. He provided oversight to sectors like energy, environment, natural resources and agriculture, transport, public management, financial and regional cooperation and urban and social development.
In 2018, Dr. Indu Bhushan was appointed the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB – PMJAY), a flagship health assurance scheme of the Government of India covering more than 500 million citizens. As the founding CEO, he led the design, development and the rollout of the scheme and oversaw its implementation in the country. He also initiated the implementation of the ambitious National Digital Health Mission (later renamed Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission).
Dr. Bhushan has two daughters, Devika and Ambika—both are medical doctors. He lives in an empty nest in New Delhi with his wife Anjana who works with the World Health Organisation. Dr. Bhushan loves to play golf and bridge in his spare time. He is an avid traveller, having visited more than 80 countries.
Prithvi Chauhan is a seasoned research and policy professional with 5 years of experience in public health, climate change, and sustainability. Holding advanced degrees in Sustainability Studies from TERI School of Advanced Studies and Public Policy and Management from IIM Kozhikode, Prithvi combines rigorous academic training with practical expertise in public policy analysis, strategic communications, and CSR. At Partnerships for Impact (P4i), he leads research and advocacy on road safety, neglected tropical diseases, and digital health, applying data-driven insights and strategic planning to achieve impactful outcomes. Previously, Prithvi managed public affairs and social impact communications for international philanthropies, facilitated market expansion for net-zero companies, and oversaw data collection for state cooling action plans and nature-based solutions. His past contributions include climate finance action plans for BRICS and ASEAN countries, enhancing PMNCH initiatives in semi-arid regions of South Asia, and improving health outcomes through the Graded Pollution Action Plan for vulnerable populations. Recognized with the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Writer of the Year and the Onsustainability Scholar award from Vrije University, Amsterdam, Prithvi is adept at translating complex data into compelling narratives and actionable strategies, demonstrating a proven track record in advancing global sustainability goals.
Dr Rajan Sankar is Senior Advisor of P4i and the former Director of Nutrition, Tata Trusts. Prior to Tata Trusts, Dr Sankar was the Regional Representative, South Asia, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and supported GAIN’s program development and grant management in India. Prior to joining GAIN, Dr Sankar was a project officer in the Child Development and Nutrition section of UNICEF in India. In 2001, he retired as Colonel from the Indian Army Medical Corps after 24 years of service. He has published more than 100 scientific papers in national and international journals.
Shantanu is a development sector professional with around 6 years of experience. He worked as an Innovation researcher and then as a fellow with TFI delivering Math & Science curriculum to 10 th Grade students in a New Delhi government school. He has worked in the space of primary data collection to drive fieldwork and as a Data Analyst in the SRHR space to improve to uptake of these services among women through a nudge intervention based on financial incentivization. At Oxford Policy Management, he worked in the Public Sector Governance portfolio to inform and improve the effectiveness of governance systems. He has an undergraduate degree in Biomolecular Engineering and Psychology from MSOE, USA, and a master’s degree in Public Health for Development from LSHTM, UK. He likes going for solitary runs in the morning and buying houseplants on the weekends.
Shikha Nayyar is the Senior Programme Director at P4i. Her role includes leading key projects and client/stakeholder management, among others. Prior to this, she worked as a Director at Global Health Strategies (GHS) – India and South Africa. At GHS, her responsibilities included managing a three-year project, which focused on increasing access to safe abortion services. Other issues and projects she has worked on include sexual and reproductive health and rights, anti-microbial resistance, and nutrition. Prior to GHS, Shikha worked with Hyderus, Cyf, in Wales and the Naz Foundation in New Delhi. Apart from this, she enjoys exploring new places with her camera in hand, learning new crafts and nature hikes.
Srotoswini is a dedicated sustainability and international development practitioner, possessing a strong academic foundation and practical experience. Her commitment to fostering inclusivity is evident through her work in corporate sustainability and social impact, focusing on Gender, WASH, and Health. She is a Delhi University graduate in political science and sociology, pursued a Masters in Sustainability at TERI School of Advanced Studies and a second Masters at Trinity College Dublin. Motivated by a deep desire to foster a more inclusive society, she is eager to be part of P4i initiatives that resonate with her vision. When she’s off the clock, Srotoswini enjoys whipping up delicious meals and playing the host, inviting friends over to share good food.
Tarini Warner is a Programme Director at P4i. Prior to P4i, she was with Global Health Strategies as Manager where she managed and implemented a project on abortion access in India and South Africa. She has also previously worked at the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development where she led and contributed to research projects on sustainability issues such as inclusive business models, CSR, and biodiversity and developing project documents. She also led the publishing of the Centre’s quarterly magazine Sustainability Tomorrow. Tarini has an undergraduate degree in Sociology from Miranda House and a master’s degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences.
